The Marketing Communications Education Trust (MCET) is a registered not-for-profit public foundation created by industry leaders to conduct the private sector fundraising for Canada's first Chair in Brand Communication at the university level. We are very grateful and proud of the contributions both financially and in time on the part of our donors in successfully achieving our goal.
The overall objective of MCET has been to raise the bar on Brand Communication education in Canada and help establish a centre of excellence that would inspire a greater focus on Brand Communication education across the country. MCET has been proud to partner with the Wilfred Laurier University School of Business & Economics in successfully establishing Dr. Brad Davis as the first Chair in Brand Communication and applauds Laurier's new Bachelor of Business Administration degree (with a Major in Brand Communication).
We envision a flow of leading-edge graduates, focused and well-informed, determined to help business build great brands. And we see Canada re-emerging as a media/communications innovator building on a reputation that goes back to McLuhan.
The cheque coincides with the most significant changes that will occur to the Marketing/Brand Communication BBA curriculum. See Curriculum and News Release sections.
